We enjoyed building this one: it had an Insulated Concrete Formwork (ICF) garage / garden room which also acted as a retaining wall for the large amount of earth behind it. In our opinion the ICF system works well in this situation.
The clients also had a very clear vision of what they wanted with exacting expectations, which suited us fine as we always strive to deliver a top-quality build.
Some of the materials and construction methods were quite cutting edge at the time from frameless glazing to fully cantilevered stairs, all adding up to a low maintenance modern home.
Samson Road 2 Bed
Another small project for us, the client lived in the end terrace and had managed to get planning permission to extend the terrace with a 2-bedroom dwelling. A straight forward 2 up 2 down property with face brick work and UPVC windows. Internally there was gas fired central heating (radiators) and standard fit electric. The total build time was about 4 months.
Branksea Avenue 2
We felt very privileged to have been asked to build this property, the client’s son being a building control surveyor for Poole Borough Council. Our contract was to build up to roof on and watertight as the client wished to finish it himself. The specification of the build is very high and when finished this will be one of the few outstanding water front properties in Poole.
